Story
At the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, a young Bob Dylan revs up the folk scene by going electric and reinvigorating rock as the voice of a generation—defining one of the most defining moments in 20th-century music. According to an October 2020 Collider interview with cinematographer Phedon Papamichael, the Bob Dylan film project was set to be put on hold due to the recently released COVID precautions studios are taking.
So our next project is actually Indiana Jones 5 (2022)
“I don’t think it’s dead,” Papamichael says of the Chalamet biopic, “but it’s hard to pull it off in the COVID era because it’s all in small clubs with a lot of extras in period costumes, so you have a lot of hair and makeup. Mangold is doing that.” I haven’t seen the movie Like a Complete Unknown yet.
Just watching the trailers for this film, it’s amazing how good Timothée Chalamet sounds and performs live, just like Bob Dylan!
I have seen the various movie trailers several times and have been to several appearances by stars like Timothée Chalamet and Elle Fanning on late night talk shows across the US promoting the film. For me, this is the most highly anticipated new movie or series since the Beatles mini-series “Get Back” debuted on Disney+ a few years ago…
It’s amazing to hear these Dylan songs from 50 years ago reproduced in 2024!
I’m already looking forward to hearing this music on December 25th in a state-of-the-art Silverspot theater! Once I’ve seen the entire 2 1/2 hour film, I will write a review here on IMDb.
