Story
A man takes a trip down memory lane with his wife and teenage children while facing a divorce. Writer-director Florent Bernard watched a lot of movies about parents separating and noticed that they were either comedies or dramas, with very few films in between. Also, the movies were always played from the parents’ perspective and never from the children’s perspective. That’s why he wanted to tackle this topic by making a bittersweet comedy, with nostalgia and funny scenes, fully involving the children in the story. During the breakfast scene at the beginning of the film, Sandrine’s children look at their bowl of cereal in front of them in one shot and suddenly look at their mother, who is standing to the side, in the next shot.
